I think that's your first Medium isn't it? You're gonna love it. I use mine for all my treble-hook baits(except swimbaits which are on my 7', 6" Heavy or Extra Heavy Helium), spinnerbaits, Senkos, Porkos/Sleekys, and recently, pitchin' a 1/2 oz jig.
I know you'll let everyone know your impressions when you get a chance to use them .

Dan,
Are you saying your pitching a Jig with a Medium power rod? I don't get it? I'm all prepared to buy an AH for my pitching purposes.
What else do you think I could use XH or just Heavy for?
What are the advantages to Mediums for spinnerbaits? Do you think I should also buzz with a Medium rod? What about the Horny Toads?
Just looking for some advice... maybe if I'm going to cover a lot more ground with the Medium, I'll buy that first and hold off on the flipping and pitching...

z: Buzzin' a Vision's Honeybuzz buzzbait was the technique I used to catch my first Medium Helium [-- login to view link --] on.
Yes, a Medium Helium is great for spinnerbait [-- login to view link --] and here's another s/b [-- login to view link --] . The "advantages" are that I feel the blades turning and, I feel the 'light bite' I sometimes get on s/bs' but especially on cr/baits/Rogues.
I use the Medium Helium for HTs and Speed Worms too. I just started using it for pitchin' a 1/2 oz jig but the jig-bite's been non-existant lately for me so I havn't caught one with it yet. I don't see why it wouldn't work??? Now, the HC and the EHC's are the traditional pitchin/flippin/ rods but i thought I'd try something 'new'(to me anyway).
To sum it up; I have 4 Mediums, 1 HC, and 1 EHC. I plan to get 2 more Heliums and they will be the HE70MCs(Medium Caster) as I firmly believe that that action Helium is the most versatile rod for me. If you don't have a MC, I'd recommend getting at least one. If you need a 'pure' pitchin' rod, then I'd get a 7', 6" HC(Heavy) Helium. I use the EHC mostly for throwing heavy, swimbaits and also as a pitchin' rod but I prefer the HC over the EHC for pitchin'. Both are a little heavier than the MCs and I prefer to go "as light as possible" when Bassin'.

LOL Boone... I'm over here
I've had an He70MC all year along with quite a few others. The Helium I'm most excited about for 2005 is the He76MHC.
If you guys love the 7' medium... you should check out the 7'6" medium (He76MC) as well. Just a little more length for extra pitching distance and even more of a parabolic bend to keep from pulling those baits out of the fish's mouth. I use it as my cranking stick.
