11/23/08 1:57pm El Grande Lures and Kistler Rods, Can't beat em! |

Went out 11-15 -08, and decided to work an El Grande 6" blue smoke Minnow, topwater, using my Kistler weightelss magnesium spinning rod. I T-rigged the minnow weightless and was retrieving it like a Spook, walking the dog throuhg some brush cover. (Courtesy of IKE) The strikes I was getting were fantastic. Within 30 minutes I had a 1 and a 3 landed and released. The feel obtained with the Mag rods is like nothing I have felt with the previous rods I have owned. The slightest bump is detected. Well, I was working around a downed limb, pulled the lure through and the water exploded I set the hook with the fast tip and the fight was on. Thank goodness for 30 lb power pro braid.
7.2 lbs on the digital. To me the Kistler Mag weightless worm rod was made for El Grande lures.

Be sure and check out not only the minnows, but the Rattlers, swimbaits and pepper sticks. We also carry hooks, weights, and upperhand scents as well as MegaStrike. All our plastics are hand poured and you don't know the quality until you get them in your hand and on your hook.
