Slop and Frog versus Flip and Pitch- Help

Guys-

I'm looking for a rod to throw Frogs, C-Rigs and Pitch Jigs. I"m not sure if my boat will hold a 7'3 rod; it will be close. My normal cover is moderate around the Ohio River and Central Kentucky but I plan to fish Lake Guntersville next year and regularly fish water around Lake Okeechobee.

The rods I'm looking at are the 7'3 Frog, the Telescopic flipping stick and a Helum 7XH.

Can someone provide perspective on weight of these rods and amount of tip on each. My storage preference would be the Telescopic but I'm afraid it might be too heavy for me to want to fish it regularly.

I went out with a 7'1 rod and from that conclude a 7'3 is unlikely. If this is by far the best rod it could ride outside the rod locker else I would want to focus on the HE or Graphite plus flipping stick.

I use the HE70hc for c-rigs & pitchin jigs, and I have the 7' 3" Frog & slop special used exclusively for froggin, although I think the HE70hc would work fine also. Unless you are fishing very heavy cover I would not recommend the extra heavy, the heavy action would be more versatile and is more than heavy enough for moderate cover. I would choose the HE70hc.

I own the flip and pitch special and there's not alot of tip to it. I'd consider it an X/heavy "broom handle" rod. In my opinion, for the money, the Magnesium All Day Flip and Pitch is hands down the best choice for all cover situations both thick and sparce. It has a little flex in the tip and great backbone. The 7'8" length lets you put a lot of leverage on a fish that is barried in the thick stuff. Because of the little flex in the tip it also works great for open water rip/snap jigging, frogging, swimbaits. Too bad I kicked mine off the front deck a couple of weeks ago...it was my favorite.

i second the Mg all day flippin' stick!!!! it has the best action for an all around flipping stick i've ever used. flipping really shallow water, like im sure you do, it has a soft enough tip to not pull the fish out and throw slack in the line. i have two of them and i have a special strap for them every second they are not in my hands so i dont accidentally kick it in!!!!!
