I bought 2 new magnesium rods end of last year and absolutly love them.
Now I want a crankbait rod. I like throwing the Fat Free Shad bait by Bomber and the DD-22's..
Can you recommend a rod for me? I will probably have to stay with the 6'6" length or 6'9"due to storage problems. Will the Argon or carbon Steel be good in these applications?
Thanks in advance.

I can't respond to the Argon question, but will say they will be good rods.
Do you have either of the Magnesium crankbait rods? The Magnesium 6'6" MgCBCGGM66 is a great crankbait rod. It has a blank that is a mixture of glass, and graphite which is a great combination for a cranking rod.
The new for 2008 LTA 6'9" HE69MC is another good choice for a crankbait rod.
Some people prefer a Med-Hvy for DD22's, but it comes down to your personal preference.

thanks for the reply skeeter. My 2 Kistlers I got were the 6'6" and the 6'9" rods.
I have used the 6'9 one but I lost a good fish with it and thought the hooks tore out.
So I was thinking a lighter rod might be better.
