I would like to know if anyone compared the Helium 2 LTX to the Daiwa Steez rods. I have a Steez reel 103hla on a Loomis GLX mbr784 . The combo just dosn't feel balanced to me. I did get to meet somone with the Steez reel and rod combo; it felt like casting with a feather, I didn't want my Loomis back anymore. I wish sombody at my lake had a Kistler for me to try out so I could make a comparo myself. I'm intrested in the 6'6 MH.
Thanks for any help you guys can give me!

Brian,
Where are you located? I was at Cabela's one day and compared the weight of the 2 rods. The weight of the 2 rods felt the same to me. I personally like the LTX over the Steez.

Brian,
The He2MHC66 weighs in at 4.3 oz and that is with the weight balancing kit installed. The He2 is built with an aluminum butt cap and aluminum trim rings that add about 1 oz. to the butt section of the rod. This will make this rod and your 103hla feel lighter then a feather and very balanced and not let me forget the sensitivity will be unmatched! Hope this helps, if you have any questions please feel free to give us a call!

Thanks for the info guys, sorry for geting back to you so much later. I would still like to hold both rods in my hands but Cabelas is about 3hrs away. I live in Astoria N.Y. Nobody in the tri-state area sells Kistler. Looks like i'll have to take a chance with the LTX.
Anybody know about any specials coming up that I should wait for?

I think you you will be more than happy with the LTX. The closest dealer to you is aprx 65 miles from you. Check them out, and see if they might have the rod you want.

No problem Brian. You might give them a call before you go to see what they have in stock. Let me know if you need anything else.
