My name is Tanner Paulini and I fish EXCLUSIVELY with Kistler rods. My testimony on your page is only a small testament to my love for Kistler Rods and everything they stand for. I reluctantly admit that recently I bought a Cumara after all the "hype" about them and I was IMMEDIATELY incredibly dissappointed and thought to myself "Why didn't I just get a Magnesium or an LTA for the same price (or less)". I sold the Cumara and bought my magnesium (thankfully). Kistlers make Cumaras feel like wet noodles in terms of sensitivity. When I really decided to revamp my rod collection I researched and asked around and check online forums for every piece of feedback I could get. What I found was Kistler's name keep coming up and the fans of Kistler were incredibly loyal to the point of obsession with Kistler. I thought it was hype but I tried ONE anyway. It was a Helium LTA 6'9" MH APC. It blew my mind w hen it ( - - blocked - - ). The craftsmanship and sensitivity was absolutely beautiful and perfect. I decided I was going to replace all my rods eventually with Kistlers. Now, after a couple of months I have finally done that. I now have 9 Kistlers and am about to order another any day. And when the new Argons and LTA's come out I'll be in the market for several more. I am now one of those obsessed, loyal fans. I fish local tournaments and people make fun of my obsession. My car is practically covered in Kistler stickers. I never ever miss a chance to show off my Kistlers and tell everyone my experience with them and how they've literally and single-handedly changed my fishing for the better. I believe I owe my tournament victories this year A LOT to Kistler. I know for a fact I have spread the word about Kistler incredibly well and by you creating such a superior product it gets others to spread the word like me. I know of several people who have gone out and bought a Kistler (which eventually ( - - blocked - - ) 2 or 3) because of what I have told them. These people also later ( - - blocked - - ) a part of the legion of devout, "obsessed" Kistler fans. Now...my problem!
I was out fishing today and we were mopping up with Shaky heads. A 40+ fish day. I was using my 6'9" Helium II LTX Medium spinning rod to fish them and toward the end of the day I set the hook on what seemed to be a normal bite and the rod just seemed to completely give way...the tip broke about 1-2 inches down and it broke another 5 inches or so down. My line broke, I lost the fish. I bought this rod in June 2008. My problem is the fact that I never registered the rod for the warranty within 10 days of purchase. Am I completely out of luck for coverage? I do NOT expect to be covered for the lifetime of a product. There's no way to operate a company in that manner. I just do not think that this rod should've broke in this manner and was OBVIOUSLY a defect of craftsmanship with the way it broke so easily. I take incredible care of my gear and I know it was not my fault in any way. I just sincerely hope that there is something I can do to replace this rod within reason...I am not at all bad-mouthing Kistler. Kistler is ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY the greatest fishing tool I've ever placed in my hands. I really hope I can continue to have the confidence I have in them without fear of breaking them after less than 2 months of use and being left in the dust. Thank you so much!

Why would you post this here? Why would you not just call them on the phone? If I broke one, I would just call.
