i'm a little confused...a friend of mine has 2 magnesium spinning rods...MgAPM70S, All Purpose-Medium Spin and the MgTBWWMH610S, Tube Bait - Weightless Worm . they look very simmilar and i was wondering why one is rated as a medim stick while the other is a medium-heavy? thew have the same casting weight and very similar lengts..how different is the second rod? how powerful is is compared to the first?

Hello Crazy Chris,

I`m new here in Kistler-Forum, but one of those Rods has FAST action and the other one MOD-FAST action.

hi chris,

i really find those rods way different the one to the other, but actually the 610 mh is way faster in action which is good for different application than the 70medium

therefore choose one which is more suited for your purposes and since you have mentioned DOCK SKIPPING the MH must be your choice in my opinion

take care

thank you very much for your answer, i am a student and i don't have a lot of money...i purchased a helium lta, 7.6,heavy, casting rod...the rod is good as i am into fishing with jigs but i was raised fishing with spinning rods...i cannot afford another lta or ltx right now and i am looking for the next best thing...i am interested in a spinning rod for jigging..i notice that there is a graphite plus rod...7', 1/4-3/4 , 10-17 lb but is rated medium while other rods having these specifications are rated as medium-heavy. why is that?..i'm not very good at choosing a rod but i am learning a lot of things in the process.... Laughing Wink i really would like a spinning rod for 1/2 jiggs and in my oppinion i think the graphite plus might work...can i have your oppinions please...thanks again
