Brand new user here and hopefully soon to become an owner operator of a Kistler rod to start my retirement with. I'm looking into a trip to The Philippines for some largemouth bass in a Pantabangan Lake. I have in mind to fish with plrnty of soft plastics from tubes to jerk baits. Is there one Kistler rod in a spinning rod style that would serve me well on this trip?

I am not sure which model of Kistler you are considering, but I can tell you that the Magnesium TS 6'10" MH "Tube Bait" rod is sweet. Another consideration for covering more water w/ longer casts would be the Magnesium TS 7' "all purpose" rod. Good Luck and welcome to the forum.

I think that you would be more than happy with the 6'10 tube rod- it will handle all your spinning rod needs with ease. It's nice and light with a good tip and good backbone you won't be dissapointed.

I agree with Basscop the MgTBWWMH610S Magnesium Tube Bait Weightless Worm Rod would best in that series. In the LTA series I would use the He69MHS Helium LTA 6'9" Med-Heavy rod. Hope this helps.
