New to the forum. I am about to purchase a 7 ft medium-lite Casting stick to attach to my new Shimano Scorpion. I can't wait to try it out! Laughing

I've got some Daiwa TDZ's and an ITO on mine. You won't be dissatisfied with your new rod and that light reel!

I have that exact same setup for a speckled trout rod for the Texas coast and for small crankbaits in freshwater. A Shimano Scorpion Metanium XT on a HE70MLC with Sufix DNA/ProMix 8lb test line. Pure joy! Very Happy

Hey Guys... just found this forum.. great resource. I purchased this same rod earlier this year and have put everything from a Scorpion 1001 to a Chronarch 101 SF on it. But when I put a Calcutta 51XT on it.. WOW - heaven. Just thought I'd share!
