10/22/07-Swimming Senko 6 lber on my 7' Medium LTA

Near the shallow end of my former boss's walk-around pond this afternoon, I threw a weightless Swimming Senko rigged with a 4/0 GY Sugoi hook. Caught a 1 lber and then moved on to another area and threw the same bait. This time, as I was just going to lift the Senko out of the water, I felt a bite. I was so glad that I I was back from the water by about 10-15'. Gave her a second and then set the hook and it pierced through her mouth and lip in two places. Landed her after a nice fight and a jump or two.

It was lightly raining off and on with solid cloud cover, mid 70s for air temp, and an off-and-on wind of 5-10 mph made for a very nice 3 hours. A light drizzle sent me home.

Nice fish Dan!! Good to see you back on the forum.. It's been awhile. You get that double digit yet??? Which rod were you using?

Thanks cf. I mentioned it in the title; my 7', Medium LTA No, still no double-digit Bass for me but I haven't given up. I need to go to waters where there are heavier Bass but the ponds are so close by.
