Andy,

I wonder if you do what I do, which is check the UPS tracking page in the morning to see when the "package" is to arrive and get home before the wife does so she doesn't see it (assuming UPS stops by the house before the wife gets out of work). It works most of the time. Wink

Your Mother-in-Law is in with you? How did you pull that off? LOL

Hello sdesign,

This is "wife"!!! A new boat-hummmmm--tried to get him a new boat 2 weeks ago!! But, he says he likes his boat he has now and I look better in the new truck. What a husband!!! And, the mother in law being in with him---that works for me because I don't have to go to the post office or pay for the stuff he gets!!! Laughing Laughing

Hey sdesign,
I read the review on the alphas @ tackletrader and I'm kind of confused!!! Did you like it or not??? Was it worth $285. Is there another that you liked better??? I still need 3 reels before Jan. tournament season, and you saw my list of reels. and what do you guys recommend as a utility/multi-purpose reel??? Question Confused I appreciate all the info. that I've gotten from all of you. I didn't know this other side of reels (japan) even existed!!! Embarassed I feel ike a kid in a candy store Very Happy

I would look at the new Daiwa Fuego when it comes out next month. It is going to be an awesome reel and it is only going to be 229.95. Cool

It is supposed to be released at the end of this month or the beginning of next month. When it comes out you should be able to get it at any place that sells Daiwa reels like Bass Pro etc. I know I will pick up at least two of these reels when they first come out and maybe a few more later. They are a awesome reel and they are a perfect match for the Heliums. Very Happy

Andy: Have you considered the(scroll way down the pg.) [-- login to view link --] Shimano-Japan Antares AR reel? It is slightly heavier than the TDZ family but gives a more substantial(and jewel-like) feel. especially when setting the hook. I believe its drag system is superior to my TDZs which I love but the AR is a piece-of-work in its own right. Matched with a HE76XHC or HC, it makes a formidable weapon when pitchin'/flippin'!
