Kistler Grouper

I caught this huge grouper, seven flounder, 5 redfish, 2 speckled trout, and several lady fish Saturday in 2' of water. I was in the very back of a very shallow saltwater bay in Corpus Christi flipping (yes I said flipping) a soft plastic jig. I did have some people fishing for speckled trout and redfish make fun of me because they said I was bass fishing. Just because you take the bass fisherman and put him in saltwater that doesn't mean he will stop bass fishing.

I love catching those fish when in Florida. They are fun, but they are not a smallmouth!

Clifford...we had a great time fishing with you last weekend...you're a heck of a fisherman and a fun guy to hang out with....hopefully you'll make more than one trip a year down to hammer the redfish with us..it didn't surprise me that you caught that grouper under the bridge...I told Fil that you caught every single fish under that bridge..next time I need a tournament partner expect a call... we're gonna put those flippin and jigging skills to use during the flounder run this fall...
