Nice Combo's Lifeofcb,

I've taken a different route this year in that I don't match up rods with specific reels anymore. Rather, I have an entire collection (literally) of reels that I match up with my rods depending on which techniques I intend to use on a particular trip. This spreads out the wear and tear on my reels and allows me to use different line weights with different reels and respond accordingly. That having been said, some of my favorite combo's are as follows:

Crankbait:
He70MLC + Shimano Calcutta 51XT or Conquest 51
He70MC + Conquest 51 or Conquest 101
He76HC + Conquest 101 or Calcutta 201DC or Calais 201-5

Spinnerbait:
He69APC + Calais 201-5 or Conquest 51 or Conquest 101

Lipless Crank:
He69APC + Chronarch 101 SF or Scorpion MG or Daiwa TD-Z 103ML Type R+
He70MHC + same reels as above

Flipping/Pitching Worms:
He76HC + Scorpion MG or Daiwa TD-Z Custom or Conquest 51

Weightless Worms (Senko):
He76HC + Scorpion MG
He69APC + Scorpion MG or Scorpion 1001 or Conquest 51
He70MC + same reels as He69APC

Buzzbaits:
He76HC + Scorpion MG
He70MHC + Scorpion MG or Scorpion 1001 or Chronarch 101 SF or Daiwa TD-Z's

oh yeah.. I forgot.. my Antares AR gets thrown in there too ... I have too many reels Twisted Evil LOL

wow what a collection. well um I got a long ways to go before I can swap around with that kind of ammo. gee-whiz.
interesting approach to things, interesting indeed i dont have enough reelsto do that
no alpha in the mix. thats not right.
all my reels before these i usually tear down 1 or 2 times a year and clean/oil/grease
do you think i should do ths more often, especially since i will be ... catching more fish on my new heluims?

HE 76 HC Scorpion 1000 MG --Jigs
HE 70 MC Scorpion 1000 MG -- Topwater/Cranks
HE 70 HC Scorpion 1000 MG -- Senkos
HE 63 APC Scorpion 1000 -- Spinners/Buzz in close
HE 60 MC Scorpion 1000 -- Light wormin' in close
HE 76 MS Johnny Morris 1500 -- Dropshot
I probably figure on getting 3 or 4 more HEs, I just need to decide which ones. Maybe a longer worming rod, & another 70 MC, & 70 HC.
