I am going to be using the rod for throwing texas rigged worms and jigs from 1/4 to 1/2 and was wondering should I go with the graphite series jig and pig or go to the 7 foot H helium. Any reviews on either rod or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Hank,
I always recommend going with the lightest and the nicest you can afford. If you can afford the Helium, I HIGHLY recommend going that route... however, if you're staying in the 1/4 - 1/2 oz range, you might consider the He76HC... it is one FANTASTIC rod...

Hank, I like to use lighter action rods than the norm. My favorite TX rig stick is the 70MC. IF I rig one over 1/8oz. I go with the 66MHC. I agree with D, the Helium line is my first choice with single hook baits,(drop shot, TX rig, Carolina, weightless worms, etc).

I agree with sd on the HE76HC.........except I feel that 1/4oz jigs are too light for that rod. I would go with a HE70MC for 3/8 oz and down while for 1/2(to mw, 1/2 oz is on the border-line one way or the other?) and up, ther HC would be great.
