Hook Keeper Problem

I have an LTA spinning rod and I have a problem with the line getting snagging in the hook keeper. Are any of you guys bending it down some? If so did it help?

The hook is not meant to go through the hook keeper. The hook stays on the underside of the keeper and the bend of the hook rests underneath the keeper.

Where is the hook hanger located on your rod? Ex. Bottom, side, top?

I'm sorry, I should have mentioned that this is happening while I'm casting.
