Just fished the California Delta WON Bass Pro/Am. Being from southern california, drop shot to me meant spinning rods with 4 - 6 lb line. Not at the Delta. 12 - 14 lb line with the Kistler He2MHC69 rod was the sure ticket. Even while fishing the currents and moving water, I could feel every pebble and bite. Both of my AAA co-anglers got a chance to try my Kistler set-up, and both told me that it was the "best" rod they ever held in their hands. Anybody else ever use this rod for heavy drop shot'in?

Wow, congratulations to you. Its great to hear the Kistler rods you were sporting helped you to win. Keep up the good work.

Did not say I won... (smile), but had a great time. Caught a lot of fish, but not the right size. Caught big kickers in practice, but not during the event. Just barely carcked top 50, with two day weight of almost 30lbs.

Oh, I interpreted WON as a win. Oops. Glad you had a good time though and 30lbs of fish sounds sweet to me.
