need help selecting spinning rod?

I am replacing a 6'6" MH rod that is equipt with a 30 series PT spinning reel and was wondering what is the best rod offered in this series to team up with the above reel for LM, SM, and walleye? How do they compare to other brands like falcon and st. croix?

Also, Plan on buying a helium for flipping but also need a rod for spinnerbaits but need to save some money so i really cant afford to buy 2 heliums so was wondering how you guys feel about the IM7 graphite plus series for a casting rod to go along with a curado 200 BSF?

If I had to pick just one spinning rod, it would be the dock skip special. Good tip action, and lots of backbone. at 6'3", the perfect length for skipping, and plenty long for other tasks.

For a casting rod, what weight lures are you planning on pitching? I'd consider a Composite Crankbait 6'6" for lighter spinnerbaits, and possibly a Senko Special for combination Texas Rig or pitching light jigs (no more than 3/8 ounce). The Flippin Stick 7'6" Heavy would be an ideal choice. If you haven't pitched with a 7'6" rod, you owe it to yourself to try.

I don't think you'll be happy with trying to throw spinnerbaits and pitch jigs with the same rod, you would compromise both.

The spinnerbait is where I'd use Graphite plus, and save for a Helium for pitching. The Helium 7'6" Heavy specifically. Watch for seconds or used Heliums as a way to save.

i am looking at the graphite plus for strictly casting spinnerbaits in the 3/8 - 1/2 oz range with my curado. I will look into that dock special for my spinning rod.

I am set on getting a helium for flipping. Just needing to decide on the other two rods.

I have 3 Helium spinning rods, a 7'MH, 7'M, and 6-6'M and I have the dock skipping special. If you are looking for a good all-purpose spinning rod, look at the Helium 7'M. I have compared my Heliums to my old St. Croix Avids, and they are lighter and more comfortable to hold (the skeletal reel seats on the Croixs will seem HUGE when you switch to a Kistler...I promise). Unless you plan on doing a lot of dock fishing, I'd go with something other than the dock skipping special. It's pretty tip heavy, and the shorter handle may not be suitable for all applications.

Based on your reply, I'd get the 6'6" Spinnerbait Special MH. For up to 3/8 the Composite Crankbait is a good choice, but 1/2oz. is probably too much for that one.
