Champion,

I own only kistlers and I have never had a problem with my tips breaking, you have to remember that how each person takes care of their tackle is different. I personally use rod socks with my kistlers that way I know that they are protected. Constant bumping and banging of the rod tip will weaken it but this is true with any rod you purchase, kislter has an excellent warranty with their rods if they are defective. I would not worry about the tips breaking if you take care of your tackle.

Basscop,

yeah i guess your right, I am pretty particular in the way that i take care of things. yet the guy i fish with just throws is rods around. I have been wanting to purchase kistlers but i don't know anyone that has any to hear how well they are. Thanks for the input.

They are just as durable, if not more durable, as any other top end rod on the market. I see broken rods of every brand imaginable at the local tackle shop. If you take care of your Kistler rod, they wont let you down. I own Graphite Plus, MgTs, LTA, and LTX rods and have never broke one, thats more than I can say about some other makers.

Hey Champion one, I live here in Gaines Michigan up near Flint and would be willing to show you any of the models that I currently have. Give me a shout at [-- login to view link --] . The LTX rods are truely awesome and I have not had any problems with any of them breaking the tips.
