Does any one know if helium blanks can be bought? I have a friend who builds his own rods, I showed him my Heliums and he loves them, would like to build his own. Maybe Trey or Clifford can answer this.

MNBasser,
I'd email them at "info@kistlerrods.com" with your question. Please let us know their response.

Helium blanks are not available. We would sale them but need every blank to build into our own rods. We do however have our Graphite Plus IM7 blanks available for sale. Let us know if you want to get your hands on one of these.

Guys, my trip to Mexico was a great time all the way around. You might not know it but there are thousands of serious bass fishermen all over Mexico. These Mexican anglers are purchasing the best equipment available to them. We have sold them over 200 rods already this year, most of which were Helium models.
I traveled down to Monterrey to meet the anglers and introduce a specific new rod design made just for one of their lakes. El Cuchillo is a beautiful lake with nothing but flooded trees sticking out of the surface. These bass are plentiful from 2 - 14 lbs. The average is 5 - 8 lbs most of the year. It was tough last week because of the hot season but I managed to prove that our new rod design works wonders.
I pulled a 10.02 lb bass out of a tree 12 ft deep with no problem at all. It was very exciting to see that big fish come out of the water right into the boat. This was my personal best. I will have a replica made and placed in my office to remind me of the great time I had in Mexico.
I suggest you guys take a look at going down to Mexico as soon as possible. Lake Cuchillo is only 1.5 hours from the Texas boarder. You do not even need a guide for this lake.
Anyway, this is an example of how fortunate I am to be in this business. The privilege to travel to foreign lands and fish, all for business sake. God has surely blessed me and our business. Thanks to all of you who support our company. I truly appreciate every comment you make on our forum.

I do favor magnesium reels but this was the reel loaded with heavy braid at the time. It had a tremendously powerful gear system.
By the way, sorry for such a big picture. I do not know how to compress the image.

No need to pull the hold it close to the ( - - blocked - - ) trick bud....that sow would have been huge taking the pic from the back of the boat!
Very nice fish, glad the trip was a success.

At Kistler Rods we like to do things on a large scale if you couldn't tell with the largest fishing picture ever recorded on the internet. We will be getting our Texas size Largemouth Bass mount here hopefully in a week or two. We will have one of the largest mounts in Texas. It will be 72" long with a 70" girth. We will also be expanding our Helium line for the next record year for Kistler Rods so get ready. At Kistler Rods we Think Big.

Oh.....were ready Cliff. If you ever need "beta testers" I got a couple fellas
in mind, hehehehe I look forward to pics of the largest fiberglass
replica in Texas, that has to be more fiberglass than there is in
Corvette.
