I fish Northern California lakes where the Huddleston trout works awesome at certain times of the year. I currently own 7 Kistler rods and I am now looking for a swimbait rod ( Kistler if possible) that I can throw all day without getting worn out. Since we all know that kistler makes some of the lightest rods on the planet , do you make a rod for throwing a 12" trout bait with 25pound test line? Good fishn' to all!!!

You are absolutly correct Kistler does make the lightest and finest rods available today. As far as any help on swimbait rods i'll try im from Louisiana. I dont know much about swimbaits or what type of rod u guys use out west. But the Helium LTA 7ft 11 inch extra heavy should be more than enough to throw the baits. And there is no doubt that u will be pleased and ready to make a few more casts at the end of the day! Hope that may steer u in the right direction.

I have to agree the 7'11" rod should give you all the back bone you need and still have enough tip to really get the swim bait out there.

yeah.. unfortunately, there's not anything in the Kistler lineup that I'm aware of that will handle any swimbait over 2 oz.. unless the 12" swimbait you're referring to is something like the Castaic Platinum, you might be out of luck here. But of course, I defer to Trey if he has something in the works Wink

We are working on that right now. That is all I can say at this time.
