Very Impressed with the New Z-Bone rod!!!

Happy New Year!

Just wanted to let everyone know a little about the sensitivity of my new Z-Bone rod. Been waiting about a week for an opportunity to test my new ZLE70MHC for the first time, and finally got out yesterday to fish. Caught my first fish on the year (a nice 2.5# bass) on the Z-Bone using a 4" Senko. Although the weather was very cold and windy and the fish were not very cooperative, I was absolutely amazed at being able to feel this slight "tap" so well! (Then caught another "dink" shortly after that which, considering the poor weather conditions, I probably should have never felt in the first place....)

I'm completely sold on the Z-Bone concept, and hope to add a few more Z-Bones to my arsenal in the not-too-distant future! This is the most sensitive rod I have ever used, and think I agree that the Micro guides did help to reduce "backlashes" while throwing into a strong wind. I hope everyone has a chance to fish with a Z-Bone soon; I'm convinced it's $$$ well spent!

Scott - I am totally with you on the new Z Bone. I haven't actually had a chance to go fishing with it yet, but I was out in the yard making a few casts just getting the feel for it and WOW. I could feel every little blade of grass as I was reeling the line back in. I have several dozen Kistler rods but I think this will be the rolls royce of them all. Trey and the gang have outdone themselves this go round and I would recommend everyone in the fishing world to at least try this rod out (sorry Trey but if this happens, you may be working 12 hours a day for years)lol  .
May everyone have a blessed 2010 and great fishing.

When will be able to order a Z-Bone?

Postby rsburns » 1/29/10 10:43pm

There has been quite a bit of discussion on the forum about when the new Z-Bone's will be able to be ordered via the website. According to a recent post from the Webmaster himself, he has been working on all this practically non-stop. I know Trey is very anxious to get the new Z-Bone program going ASAP, so they must have run into some extraordinary difficulties getting all this to work on the website.

Hopefully, we will get an update on this from Trey by early next week.

Is their any way to get a preview of either the specific parts or the entire setup before ordering? there is a picture of the grips on the preview page but on my computer it is too small to read the wording (i am on a netbook so this may be due to my computer). Id feel better about ordering if i could at the very least see the parts and colors, to be sure i am getting what i want.
