I just read my testimonial from about 4-5 years ago, way down there...wanted to see if my opinion has changed- IT HAS. It's actually gotten better. ...

Help with rod choice

Postby stratos286 » 3/29/09 11:35pm

I am looking for a rod that I can use to fish some of the lighter swim
baits that weigh around 1 to 1.5 ounces (sebile magic swimmer, money minnow, BBZ Shad, etc), but could also be used for deep diving crank baits and 1 ounce one lipless crank baits.

The rod locker on my Stratos 286 is listed to hold 7 foot rods, but I know I have a few extra inches over that length.

Is there one rod that will serve my dual needs or am I better off going with two separate rods, one for deep crank baits and one for lighter swim baits?

Go to the Fishing Hole and talk to them, they set me up pretty good last year with my rods... 2 heavy tackle trolling rods/reels and one casting rod
