LTX rods and Braid....No fish are safe!!

Postby twells » 5/5/08 8:06pm

WOW, I can't begin to tell you still how impressed I am with the LTX line of rods!! Over the past 2 weeks, my tournament partner (Shawn ( - - blocked - - )) and I have fished several big tournaments (~250 boats) here on a local lake. The water has been inbetween 10 and 15 feet high and there is flooded brush everywhere. We have been on a good pattern fishing flat nasty stuff in the backs of coves. We have caught fish behind people in brush and trees that they wouldn't dare pitch into. We will come right behind them and catch fish. Not only does that boost your confidence in fishing, but man is it a blast!!! All weekend long we would flip into a tree and say, "if I get bit, I don't know how I'm gonna get her out!", most times we would find a way to get her in the boat.

If anyone doesn't currently have a LTX rigged up with some braid, I would highly recommend it!! I have been using 65lb power pro and love it.

Take care all,

Thomas Wells

LTX rods and Braid No fish are safe

Postby Karapaz » 6/9/09 4:51am

I dont understand your logic. If you really like your Thramer I would think that you would keep that rod and fish it. If you dont enjoy the other rods as much, I would think that you would sell them and try other rods until you find others that you like as well as the Thramer.

You must encounter fishing conditions for which the Thramer wouldnt be the best rod. Wouldnt you be using the other rods for those conditions?

I cant imagine parting with a rod that I really like.
