Magnesium rods?

Postby basscat39 » 5/24/06 5:37pm

How do you guys like these rods ? I am thinking of switching from revolver style back to traditional casting style.
I like the split rear grip style thats why I am thinking the Mag series will fit my needs.
Thanks Scott

I love these rods. I have three of them and they are awesome rods for the money. I didn't think I would like the split grip at first but now I don't like a rod that doesn't have it.

I love the split grips and that was part of the reason I went with the Magnesium rods to begin with. In Michigan the season is just getting started and I've only been on the water three times but so far I love the way these rods feel in my hands.

I have the drop shot and the flippin rod and love them both. Although they are mostly a one hand techinque, they do feel good in your hand.

I have 3 mg's. 7' crankbait, 7' senko, and 7' mag carolina rig. I love all three of them. They are very comparable to the heliums, but just a little heavier( not that noticible at all though, maybe a couple grams at the most.). I do however, like the split grips better. I actually just had a 7'6" helium made with a split grip "awesome rod"!!! The Mg's are a great rod for the money and I would recomend them to anyone looking to get hooked up with a Kistler. You won't be dissapointed!
