Thunderstorms predicted this afternoon as I got there at 10AM; cloudy, overcast, mid 70s, and just a little wind. Stopped fishing at 2 PM, just before the rain/lightning hit.
Caught a 1 lber near the shore on a Fat Ika from GYCB. Moved over to the deeper(12-16') water where the trees and stumps are, throwing a chartruese Chatterbait. Felt a light thump, set the hook and pulled it away from what looked to be a 10 lber. She flashed by me just under the surface, chasing the CB so I had a good look at her from the side. I say "10 lber" because she looked twice as long as the 5 lb, 6 oz, 22" Bass I landed later on a shad-colored CB with a Basstrix Fat Minnow trailer and CB's Hawg Sauce on it.
1 lb, 6 ozs--15"
5 lbs, 6 ozs--22"
See the DNR tag?
