Flipping stick

Postby aphillip » 7/25/04 3:52pm

I wanted a rod for pitching and flipping 1/4 to 1oz. jigs and plastics, and many people recommended the 7'6HC. I bought one about a week ago and man is that thing light! It is lighter than my 7'0 IMX. I played around the house and then took it fishing. It is an awesome rod but I felt it had a little too much tip for those applications. I returned it and got the 7'6EHC. I like a heavier action rod and the EHC is perfect for what I intend to use it for, but it is noticebly heavier than the HC. I expext the EHC to be heavier but it seems quite a bit heavier than the HC. I'm curious if any one has both of these rods and can offer their oppinion. Please don't get me wrong, I am happy, and would like for my whole arsenal to be Kistler.

I have both. Just recently got them so I don't have much time in with fishing them. I have a Calais 200 on the EHC and an Antares AR(100) on the HC so comparing weights won't help until I need to take the reels off but I tend to agree with you on there being a difference.
