Howdy,

I'm new to Kistler and very, very impressed with the product and the forums. What a wealth of knowledge!

I need some help putting together two all purpose rigs that I can take with me anywhere when I'm not able to take my whole locker. I was thinking about the following:

Rig 1: Casting Rod - HE69APC or HE70MHC (hmmm) paired with a Daiwa Fuego
Rig 2: Spinning Rod - He66MHS paired with a Quantum Energy PTi 20

I'm open to any product and advice but I'd like to keep in that $850-$900 price range. I have to buy most of this stuff on line since Kistlers aren't sold in Iowa. Let me know what y'all think.

Hey Trey, if you need some one to sell your products in the midwest let me know!

Thanks Cal,

BTW your site is AWESOME also, might as well be my home page. You've cost me a lot of money over the years and I don't regret spending a single dime. In fact y'all introduced me to Kistler rods and gave me the idea to go with those reels. So I assume you are ok with those choices.

Good point about the going with a lesser power on the spinning rod. I was thinking that MH might be ok considering they are usually a little less powerful but thinking about it again you are right, I need to be able to do as much as possible with these two rigs and if this is going to be my finess rig I need it to be able to handle a different spectrum of applications.

Thanks again.

i have a fuego on a He76HC and i love it. very light but very stout, both rod and reel. fuego is a good choice IMO

Thanks Waker and Andy.

Yeah I've learned about Cal's taste. Nothing wrong with enjoying the best. Who knows maybe someday I'll get to play with those kind of toys also.

Andy, Thanks for the feed back, also. I was hoping to hear from someone with that set up.

i would also get the 6'9'' AP. it would match up real nice to the fuego. the reel can cast anything from weightless worms and tubes to big heavy jigs. and mounted on the 69AP, that should be really slick. the 69 will be my next rod. good luck
