7'11' flippin sticks. Why not???

Postby creationfish » 3/27/06 10:33pm

I think it's finally time I ask this question... Why the bias against 7'11 flippin sticks? I was surprised when Trey posted that there just wasn't the demand for a 7'11". A 7'11" is the only Rod I have used for flippin for the last 8+ years. I can't even flip with a 7'6" anymore!! I was turned onto this size rod for flippin by Dee Thomas himself when we roomed together for the Western Bassmaster circuit in 1998. If this man does not know what the best size flippin stick is no one does. Is it just some of you guys just haven't tried them??? I'm really curious. The only thing I use 7'6" for anymore is swimbaits. Trey I NEED a 7'11" LTX!!!!!
Thanks Guys all opinions are needed, no matter how wrong they are!!!

Mike,

You asked for it! It is going to cost you a pretty penny. I can have our blank maker design one for you if you are willing to pay for it. What are you willing to pay?

Also, I need to hear from more anglers to make it worth the investment to go forward with this blank design. I'm sure you realize it cost more money to develop a blank than the blank material itself.

Help me help you. Ha Ha!

If it was available Trey you can count on me for buying one and I am sure several other guys will too. I love the He2 rods and a flipping stick would be sweet. :D

I'm in..I have 2 7'11 Helium LTA's now,and I'd like to get 2 more. They are the only rods that I use to flip and pitch grass.I love the added length and leverage pulling fish from the thick stuff. The adjustment from a 7'6 to a 7'11 wasn't difficult at all..Those rods are awesome.
