got a 7 6 helium flippin stick in the mail. i am looking at shimano chronarch MG and a Curado cu100d. i like would like to get the MG to keep the weight down, but has anybody had any bad experiences with the new chronarch mg? i own 3 cu100d's so dont need any opinions on them, just the chronarchs. also, anybody use a daiwa viento?

Both reels are good reels but like you said, the weight!!! Why buy a super light, super sensitive rod like the LTA and put a heavy reel on it? I use all LTA's and LTX's except my crankbait rods, (Mg series glass/graphite) and I use all Team Daiwa TD-Z's for the weight(or lack of it). I would go with the Mg. at least. Welcome to the Kistler Family!!!

hey thanks. my only problem with the Chronarch mg is the lack of line capacity. itll only hold 100yards of 12 lb test, thats about 90 yards of 14lb, and 14 is a little light to be pitching aroung anything. just dont think itll work out like i want it. might try a quantum

90 yds of 14 lbs test line is PLENTY to pitch around. I have an Abu Garcia Tournament 3600. It has a capacity of 105 yds on 12 lbs test. I spooled up 14 lbs test and resutled 80 yards. Has no impact on my pitching habits. How many feet away will you be pitching though? Just asking to see your eyes. :D

HOW far so you really pitch anyway? crap dump 20lb sunline shooter and be done with it. Id go with the SCORP mg for pitching and the external cast control 4X4 system. Line cap for pitching is not an issue.
