Clifford: For those baits, it's no contest for me---the He70MC!. It's 'soft' enough in the tip area to both cast light-weight ones, work them properly, and then when I get bit; it doesn't 'snap' the hooks away from the Bass. I use a wide range of bait types with that rod---that's why I have three of them

6'6" med to mh - depending on wieght of the plug
i took med 6'6" out yesterday and was able to throw 1/4oz popx's very well :) and the rod has a nice tip to control action. i also threw the 1/2oz popmax on it as well. but the 1/2oz just felt a bit heavy for that rod though thats why i got a mh and its perfect for the larger topwater lures. has a great tip and solid backbone.

i just havent been a fan of any rods longer then that to fish topwater with. sorry
matched with a tdz103h man i was throwing a very, very long ways. and just think
my type r + is on the way.
i fish with helium.
