Pic + 78 flippin Stick

Postby spnrbt kid » 12/28/05 11:46pm

I got a new 78 flippin stick for Christmas and put 65 lb braid for 1/2 jigs in this grass on Guntersville and the first fish begged for mercy. I think i moved him at least 10 feet wehn I set the hook. The rod just pops the jig out of that grass so much easier than any rod I've ever used and I fished with it all day and never felt like I was using a traditional flippin stick where your arms get tired. If you are in the market for one dont wait just get it. The fish in the pic were caught tues and the water is 42 and I caught hem in 3 ft tell me that isnt weird.

I assume you are talking about the new Magnesium TS All Day Flippin' Pitchin' Stick Telescopic rod?

If so, I love this rod too. It's the lightest flippin' rod we have ever developed.

Have Fun,

i'm thinking of buying one of these rods (all day flippin 7-8). is the tip very firm or more like a fast to extra fast? i flip a lot of 1/2 oz and 3/8 oz jigs to wood and rock. i live in kentucky, we don't have much else.......hahahaha.

i think this is probably the rod i am looking for for my jigging rod, but i like my gloomis glx 905x.......

any comments??

thanks,
bart

I have the new chronarch but I really like the castaic (original) or the new quantum pt 6:3:1 ratio. I like the chronarch but not my favorite. The rod has a firm but fast action just right for 3/8 to 1/2 jigs.
