spinnerbait rod

Trey: I've talked to Clifford about a custom sb rod.(6-8mhc) I throw mostly 3/8-1/2 oz. I like a little stiffer rod, I've tried Stcroix 6-6 med. avid not stiff enough, tried 6-6mh legend, almost to stiff, don't want to go 7-0. Would your 6-9mh Lta or new mag be closer to what I want. I want your opinion anyway, and also on the difference between the two. I own two Lta's now(6-6mhs,7-6hc)Thanks for any help.

Gregg, not to steer you away from kistler as i have a few and like them very much but for Spinnerbaits just like all my reaction baits i like a slower action which leads me to a Avid series crankbait rod model AC70MHM. i also have a helium HE69APC which i use for soft jerkbaits/stickbaits but does very well, i've tried it for throwing larger jerkbaits and worked as well but just wish it was a tad softer, using mono helps.

Check out a few new models in StCroix Legend Tournament bass especially the TBC70MHM.

Goodluck with your search, either kistler or stcroix will serve you well.

Gregg,

Sorry for the late response. Busy here at the office. I would like to suggest the He66MHC LTA Helium.

The power and action is right in between where you want it after reading your comments on the other rods you already own.

Give it a try and if it is not exactly what you like, we will switch you out with the next closest style you choose.

Thanks for checking with us,

Trey

Trey if you don't mind me asking whats the difference between the 66mch and the 69APC besides the 3" in length? is one softer than the other?

Also, i'm very happy to find out my local bass fishing outlet now carries Kistler rods, that being Northen Bass Supply in N.H.

:D
