6'8" MH Micro Mag vs. 7'0" MH Micro Mag

Are these essentially the same rod as far as action and power, just different lengths? The specs other than rod length are the same. I see that rattle baits and square billed cranks are listed for the 6'8"... will the 7'0" throw those baits as well?

No these are not the same rod. Quite different indeed. The 7' has much more power and stiffness than the 6'8". Yes, both with do many of the same techniques but the 7' will do more in terms of heavy lifting.
