i want a ft foot ltx2 to throw 3/8- 1/2 ounce spinnerbaits. Would you suggest the medium or medium heavy model? The old ltx 2 in medium heavy are awesome. i was just wondering about the new rods/

I would go with the medium heavy!

It depends if you currently like the old Med you have...if so, stick with the 2010 Med if you like the forgiveness of that power. If you want to turn big fish away from cover, then get the Med-Hvy for sure.
