Z - Bone

Postby JoshNoelFishing » 3/1/10 2:02am

Hi im considering coming to kistler from my current powell arsenal, i felt the powell rods where pretty sensitive but have been doing some research on the kistler rods im looking into getting either a z -bone or Helium LTA to start with. I have a question about the z - bone models first off is the z -bone ST more sensitive than the LTA models? i would get the LE but im not gonna drop that much on a rod until im completley sold.

Thanks,

Josh

The new Z-Bones are definitly more sensitive than the LTA's. The LTA's are more sensitive than a Powell, so It's like you have upgraded twice by choosing the Z-Bone. I have two of the Z-Bones right now and wouldn't trade them for anything else. They are worth the money buy the Z-Bone you won't be dissapointed.

Crankinsmallies is right, these z bones are probably the most sensitive rod out on the market. I to have 2 of the z bones and I as well will take nothing for them. You can feel every little thing that your lure comes in contact with. Get one and fish with it and I promise you, you will be hooked and thinking about the next Kistler rod you will be wanting to purchase.
Good fishing and God Bless.

I agree with both replies but i think what makes the Z bones feel more sensitive are the Fuji Micro guides when compared to the conventional on the LTA. There is a significant difference between the to rods partly due to the guides and the HM graphite content.

I have both Heliums and Mags - both great rods, but I have to give a slight edge to the Heliums for their sensitivity.
