That's a great question. At first I'd say yes but I also think there is something to be said for having a consistent feel. The same reason I only use Daiwa reels. If I didn't have an LTX I'd tell ya to stick with the LTA's because you know what to expect from them. Personally I use LTX's when I'm finesse fishing and needing a little extra sensitivity. In a tournament that might be worth an extra $50. I'm kind of a hypocrite though because I use my LTA's for texas rigging around wood and I have a 7ft LTX I use for medium type cranks. Both are very sensitive and high quality. If you want to step up spend the $50. If you want something youre familiar with, go with another LTA but pick it for a specific application.
