Fishing Rods

i just recently aquired a he69mhc rod and i love it and i just wanted to find out if there was a way to find out what model year it is before i purchase a new one. i understand that rod features change from year to year and just wanted to know the differences.

The only way to figure that out is to look at the serial number on label. If it begins with the letters Z J , then it is a 2010.

The only difference with that model is the blank is lighter on the 2010 but the components are similar.

thanks for the info and i appreciate the quick response. i dont have the label anymore and i tried to contact cabellas where i purchased it and they didnt know. the only numbers on the rod are right above the hook keeper 0028121 it has blue guides which i dont see on any recent models so im guessing its an older model

You do have a 2008 model.

thanks again one more question. you wouldnt have any older models laying around there or even slightly used rods for sale? just curious i need a good crankin rod. thanks for your time and god bless!!!

Trey, get him to give me a call if you can't find anything. Although all I have is 6' 9" Helium 2's. This is BR in AL. Hope to see you in February.
