why do the 2010 lta spinning models cost less than last years models?

The 2010 models will have Alconite guide instead of SIC. This is the cost reduction. Same great handle, blank and reel seat as well as cosmetics. Just a better price.

Actually yes. The rings are lighter in comparison so yes, the entire weight of the rod will be affected, plus the blanks themselves with be lighter in 2010.
