He69MS or ????? many opinions help

Postby meach » 12/3/09 4:12pm

Not sure which rod to purchase, i do not have the luxury of being able to have mulitple set ups. I am strongly considering purchasing the He69MS to pair up with my new stardic C 14 model # STCI42500F. I recently have put my focus into bassin and
i like to fish trigged 5' senkos wieghtless on a 3/0 ewg hook and 7' worms on the same hook size. But i will throw on a 3/8 spinner or buzz bait on as well. I primaly fish with 20lb power pro braid. SO basically my question is since i will be using this rod for more than a couple applications would the He69MS or He63MS be better for me? I want to make sure i can still feel the little bites when fishing wieghtless and also have enough backbone to toss out spinners, i know there really not a do it all wonder rod out there but im looking for something close to that.lol
THanks

I think the medium action may be a little light for casting 3/8 oz spinnerbaits & buzzbaits. I would go with the HE69MHS, it would be way more versitile.

I agree with MNBASSER I would go with the HE69MHS for what you mentioned you are planning to use it for.

It's mostly personal preference but I think the extra length of the 6'9" would add a few feet to the cast, also you will pick up slack quicker for faster hooksets.
