I am thinking about the HE70HC, right now I have 2 HE70MHC's, but they are a little light for horsing bass out of the weeds. Maybe the HE70HC would have more backbone? any thoughts?

Hopefully, Ti guides are something Trey can do. I have a Custom rod (St Croix Avid Blank) built with Ti Guides and I swear, the guides bring this rod to life. I also own the same model built from the St Croix Factory. The Ti Guides noticeable reduce the weight compared to the factory built model. The custom is also a LOT more sensitive than the Factory built rod.

Now, I can only imagine what Ti guides on a helium will be like. This will probably make it THE most sensitve rod. However, it will also add an additional $75 to $100 to the price of the rod.

Unfortunately, I'm at least 6 months away from ordering this rod.

Sdesign,

Usually I'm throwing a MisterTwister Exude 71/2 worm with 17lb Berkely Vanish, as far as distance I'm either pitching shallow weeds from 10 - 15 ft or casting a deep weedline. The problem was I found some shallow weeds holding 3 pounders and lost a couple, but I felt I had to use the Helium because the bite was very light, fortunatly I was still able to get 5 of the bass out and win the tournament with 15.65 lbs.
