What is the application for a 6'9" med cast rod vs. a 7' med cast rod application? Much difference or will one do the job of the other; looking to get one or the other.

This may show up 3 times, I have tried to post this and have not seen it anywhere.

rods: need an answer

Not much difference in the applications of these two rods, Danny; especially in the Medium casting rods. I would think it's mostly personal preference. My thoughts are that a shorter rod allows for a bit more accuracy in your cast, while the longer rods permit greater casting distance. I actually find more significant differences in these lengths in the Medium-Heavy applications where I like to throw spinnerbaits on a 6'9" MHC, and perhaps a light C-rig on a 7'0" MHC (although either length would work well for both applications).

Hope this helps some!
