Fishing Rods

Which Argon would be best for lipless baits in grass? In addition to the Argon series, is there any other Kistler rod that you would recommend for this presentation?

By far the best rod we make for this application is the AFCB72, period. If you will use braided line, you'll have even more success.
I can't think of another model that comes close but if I had to, it would be the MGSSBS73.

How about the Argon Spinnerbait Special. I like that it is heavy power with a moderate fast action. Do you think this would get the job done for ripping lipless baits through weeds and grass?

Is it parabolic enough to absorb the initial strike and to keep em' glued on the treble hooks?

I have no experience with the argon that was previously mentioned. However, i have been ripping crankbaits(both lipless and diving baits) out of the grass forever. Far and away my favorite rod is the He76mhc. It is similar to the small swimbait special, but it seems to have a little more tip because of the extra length. I love a MH graphite rod for this. it has the backbone to rip the hooks free of the weeds, but it does have a little more of a parabolic bend to keep the fish hooked up. The 7'6" length is a real benefit. I can make longer and more accurate casts to parallel the weedline. It also allows me to have more controll of the bait during the cast (which is very important for this technique), and it helps me keep the fish down on long casts.

I use the mag small swimbait rod for this and it is great. Just posted about a trip to Beaver Lake in the mag form. It is an awsome rod for this application.
