Magnesium AJ 6'10" MH Baitcast Rod Question

Postby Ghost » 5/25/09 11:48pm

I've had this rod for a couple months now & have used it a few times. I've noticed for a MH rod it isn't quite as stiff in the tip area as other MH rods, why? I remember the previous model was a chatterbait rod, is this the reason why for the softer tip?

Can I use this rod for jigs/swimbaits/worms & topwater frogs? Or is it more for cranks & chatterbait/spinnerbaits?

I like the rod but it seems it has an identity issue, maybe I should've gotten the 6'9" MH if the tip is a bit more stiff than the 6'10" MH.

This rod is such an all purpose stick to be honest. If you will use a non stretch line, you will gain max sensitivity and better hook ups because of the faster tip design. I say get another one and rig whatever you want on this rod model.
