LTA crankbait/weightless senko rod

Postby aperezarteaga » 5/22/09 12:16pm

Hello,
I have several kistlers, LTAs, Argons, Magnesiums and Graphite Plus. One of the rods that I like the most is the Graphite Plus 7'M composite crankbait rod, its action is just superb for shallow running (up to 10 ft) crankbaits and it weights almost nothing (I even feel it lighter than the LTAs!). The rod I use for weightless senkos is a Team All Star topwater 6'6''Light, and it is not perfect but adequate for that use (I like kistlers so much that I had the All Star "kistlerized", removed the front cork and split the grip haha). Unfortunately I never get to carry the Graphite Plus because I can't convince myself to leave three or four kistlers, so I usually take a Mg H, an Argon H, a MH LTA and a Mg ML spin. So I have no more room!
As much as I like the graphite plus, I have decided to sell it along with the All Star and get a Helium LTA 7´M. My question is, is this rod adequate for crankbaits or is it too stiff? I know it will work fine for weightless senkos because the ML is too light for me and the MH is too heavy...
I really don´t wanna part with the Graphite Plus so maybe I´ll just buy the LTA... even though I really don´t use it (I use senkos much more than crankbaits)...
Any opinion on the 7'M LTA will be appreciated, eventually I will also be using it for heavy shakey (5/16) and finesse texas...

LTA Helium Cranking Rod

Hello,
I think you are making a great choice with the Kislter He70MC, this is a great rod for throwing cranks or finesse presentations. I have thrown all kind's of crankbaits on this rod, mainly in open water situations. But also for throwing 4" Senko's this rod would be ideal, I have also used it for drop shotting and some texas rigged worms. Great rod that I am sure you will be happy with. Thank you for using Kistler Rods, Great Rods and Great People. Tight Lines.
