Which rod for me?

Postby redwing » 3/26/05 5:18pm

I am just in the process of upgrading my equipment, and I am looking for a graphite plus line rod for these uses: pitching 5/16 to 3/8oz. jigs, tubes, and grubs around medium cover, some carolina rig applications. I don't want the rod for flipping, and the bass up here aren't as big as the ones down south! Unless of course, I'm fishing smallies! I like a longer rod, like 7-7 1/2' one pc. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks for the help!

Welcome,

I would suggest the Graphite Plus Frog and Slop Special. It has a nice tip for pitching and flipping lighter baits. It is only 7' 3" but feels very light in your hand. Also, the KFRST76 is a good choice. Never mind the label ratings, it has a flexible enough tip for the jigs you are wanting to pitch.

Good Luck,

Trey
