Rod for spinnerbait and cranks

Looking for a rod for throwing 3/8 and above spinnerbaits and deep diving crank baits, prefer a 6-9 for this. Do not like a whippy rod. When I visit different sites I am confused about the action of rods --fast soft medium etc. I currently have two of your rods and love them, a carolina rig and a heavy spin. Thanks wade
