Jig rod?

Postby Jimmie » 3/11/09 11:50am

I bought my first Kistler last week the MgTBWWMH610S. Besides using it for the suggested lures, I'm hoping to use it for jigs, jig/plastic trailer and weighted creature baits and was wondering if its going to work well what I'd like to use it for?

You know its not like I expected an answer to my question immediately but its been 4 days and still no answer from Trey or anyone else for that matter on how well the rod will or will not do for the uses I'd like to use it for and its not like other people aren't having their questions answered so the only conclusion I can come to is my question isn't important enough to answer which means that I'm not that important as a customer. I guess with the way everyone else is buying his rods that Trey isn't going to miss the little bit of money I was going to spend buying another 2 or 3 rods but on the other hand I will do my best to talk any ( - - blocked - - ) that are interested in a Kistler out of buying one. There are other manufactures that make technique specific rods for spinning rods so I quess the will get my business and my money.

Great Rod!!!!

I know everyone at Kistler is super busy, I know they will get to you as soon as possible. I have that exact rod and let me tell you it has put a lot of bass in my boat. I use for everything including small to medium jigs, drop shot, carolina rig, tubes and more. I am sorry you are so upset but I assure you have a great rod. Hope that helps.

Sounds like my "Chatterbait" rod specs...

Hey there Jimmie,

As a fisherman and fan of Kistler rods, I say go for it with whatever you choose on the 6'10" MH Mg rod.

I use mine for Chatterbaits, jigs with trailers, weighted hook frogs, RI Skinny Dippers, and Texas rigged plastic worms with 3/16-1/4 weights all of the time.

It is an amazingly versatile and light weight rod for whatever you feel the most confident tying on and using to catch whatever species you are fishing for...I prefer bass, and the rods are tough and will real in whatever bites and fights.

I am sure no one meant to fail to reply to your question...we are all busy in our own lives, but can always find a few minutes to help others...or at least we should.

Good luck and good fishing, Jason D.

jig???

Don't worry about the delay. Kistler is all about the customer and believe me I know. They appreciate each one us. Now to the rod. I throw everything on this rod including brush hogs and bitsy jigs. This rod will do it all. I have fished them all and nothing beats a Kistler.
