Bass oriented translation

Postby Max » 3/10/05 9:52am

Hi guys,

Having some time to kill here in Austria (you guys already know that there are here as many bass as peacock in Wisconcin  ) I'm helping a french association, (which stands up for Bass interests,,, and to which I belong) to translate some of their pages ... I Actually designed the website and translate it to American ... but It's like I know my english is not perfect ... So If some of you have a couple of minutes to go there and check out ...

If there are like big mistakes ... feel free to say it

Oh and well ... I've been working on some translation for a news concerning a new fishing regulations when it comes to minimum catching size for largemouth bass .... Could I be so bold as to suggest that some of you take a look and tell me if it's like understandable ... Thank you anyway :
"Good News for our 10th Anniversary:

The minimum legal size for catching largemouth bass is to be increased to 11.7 inches (30 cm)
Decree N? 2004/599 of May 18th, 2004 in relation to Fishing Laws and Regulations, and modifying
the national environmental law (decrees part)(Official Journal n?146 of 06/25/2004 page 11551 text n?47)
Art- 11 : ? l'article R.*236-23, the words: "0,23 m (9 inches) pour le black bass" are replaced by the following
: "0,30 m (11.7 inches) pour le black bass".

Although we'd been asking ,over the past few years, for a minimum legal size of at least 13.7
(35 cm) because of biological reasons and needs to protect the spawners, and although we had provided a well-documented file on that issue, the authorities only allow a 2.7-inch increase ...which is still better than nothing !

This law will be effective on January 1, 2005
With one of our most important goals accomplished, we must now continue our actions to talk fishing managers into concentrating themselves on protecting or enhancing spawning habitats to improve the results of natural spawn. We will thus keep on educating fishermen and making people aware of the need to protect the bass during the differents fishing shows and fairs that we attend every year.

Thanks for your help,

Bass wishes "[/url]
