Looking for right jerkbait rod

Postby TurkeyBoy113 » 2/14/09 6:58pm

Hey, guys, need a bit help here. I wanted a 7'6" spinning rod that I could simply make long cast during night fishing for walleyes. Of course, I'll be throwing down 4" & 4 1/2" Lucky Craft Pointers along with Rapala X-Rap size 10 on Silver Thread Multi-Purpose 10 lbs test line. Likewise, I still have my SpiderCast Titanium Alloy 30 spinning reel and intend to pair it up on one of'em Kistler rods.

Guess nobody wants to help me with the decision. It's not worth my time trying to get answers right away. I'm gonna go ahead and go for St. Croix Legend Elite rod.

I guess everyone including me have their eyes on bassmaster.com watching the Classic unfold. We must have missed your post among the junk post that make it on our site. Sorry about that.

Your question has an easy answer. We now make a ASWAP76S
Medhttp://www.kistlerrods.com/p/fishing ... AP76S.html

see link. This rod would perform perfectly for those long casts.

Give it a try before resorting to an ol' St. Croix.

There was an LTA that was 7'6 that Scott Martin used at Erie a few years ago. It should be able throw a 78 or 100 with little problems.
