ok i posted that i sold my scorpion well i did not sell it, the bottom droped out. anyways i am still goin buy the daiwa alpha when i get the money, and a st.croix ledgend touny rod. which i will put my scorpion on, and then i will put my alpha on my 6'9 heavy. Or i might buy a helium 7'6 heavy and put the scorpion on it and then put the alpha on the 6'9 heavy. ohh well lots of things to think about.

i also plan to but a quantum catalyst pti20 spinnin reel and get one of the cheaper kistlers to put it on, the 129.99 ones, i guess they are cheap anyways i think i need at least one spinnin reel because i might need to cast lighter stuff once in a while

Boone,
Did I read that right? Buy a ST. Croix legend? I had a couple of these and now they are replaced with Heliums'. The legend is a good rod but not even in the same class as the helium. If your going to make a major purchase don't settle for second best. Good choice for the spinning reel, also you might consider the Diawa SS II tournament spinner. Really nice.

You already dig Daiwa, stay with them for the spinners. I use Shimano baitcasters (for now), but Daiwa has got the rest of the companies whooped on spinning reels.
